Following these enriching visits, we will head northwest towards Tangkahan. Île de Samosir

After a sustained effort, you reach the volcano's summit, where a breathtaking panorama awaits. Our destination for the day: the picturesque town of Bukittinggi, perched at 930 meters above sea level, where the landscapes are painted in shades of green and the cool mountain air revitalizes us. Surrounded by the majestic volcanoes Singgalang and Merapi, the city offers an unforgettable panorama, blending wild nature with impressive terrains.
Our first stop takes us to the central square, where the famous Jam Gadang, the local Big Ben, proudly stands. Its iconic silhouette dominates the plaza, reflecting the region’s rich cultural heritage. Then, we continue our visit to the Sianok Canyon. Perched on the heights, we will be amazed by the spectacular view.

Batusangkar

The exploration begins with visits to a few traditional villages where time seems to have stood still. The wooden houses with thatched roofs, surrounded by lush rice fields, tell stories of past generations. The villagers, always smiling, busy themselves with their daily tasks, offering a lively glimpse into the local culture. After this immersion into rural life, you resume your journey toward Puncak Lawang. You then decide to descend toward the lakeshore, following a winding trail through a lush tropical forest.
